Our Commitment
Valeris Advisory Group is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We strive to continually improve the user experience for everyone who visits valerisadvisorygroup.com and to maintain compliance with applicable accessibility standards and guidelines.
Accessibility Standards
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines provide a framework for making web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including:
- Visual impairments (including blindness, low vision, and color blindness)
- Hearing impairments
- Motor and dexterity limitations
- Cognitive and learning disabilities
- Speech disabilities
- Photosensitivity and seizure disorders
What We’re Doing
We take the following measures to ensure accessibility across our Site:
Design and Development
- Semantic HTML5 markup for clear document structure and screen reader compatibility
- Sufficient color contrast ratios between text and background colors throughout the Site
- Responsive design that adapts to all screen sizes, from mobile devices to desktop monitors
- Clear, consistent navigation across all pages with keyboard-accessible menus
- Scalable text that can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
Content
- Descriptive alt text for all meaningful images
- ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) labels and roles on interactive elements
- Descriptive link text that makes sense out of context
- Logical heading hierarchy (H1 through H6) for content organization
- Plain language and clear writing to improve readability for all users
Interactive Elements
- All interactive elements (buttons, links, form fields) are accessible via keyboard navigation
- Focus indicators are visible for keyboard users
- Form fields include associated labels and clear error messaging
- Contact forms (powered by Contact Form 7) include proper field labels and validation
- Search functionality (powered by Zevonix Search) is accessible via keyboard and screen readers
Performance and Compatibility
- Optimized page load times through Cloudflare CDN and caching (via WP-Optimize)
- Compatible with modern assistive technologies, including screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver), screen magnifiers, and voice recognition software
- Tested across major browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some areas of the Site may not yet be fully optimized:
- Some third-party embedded content or widgets may not meet all accessibility standards
- Older PDF documents may not be fully accessible; we are working to remediate these
- Some visual page layouts built with Elementor may have limited screen reader optimization in certain configurations
We are actively working to identify and resolve these issues. As we update content and functionality, accessibility improvements are incorporated as part of our ongoing development process.
Assistive Technology Compatibility
Our Site is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:
- Screen Readers: JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver (macOS/iOS), TalkBack (Android)
- Browsers: Latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Microsoft Edge
- Input Devices: Keyboard-only navigation, touch screens, voice control, and switch access devices
